Bread, ancient tradition

The Tunisian woman in the picture is preparing traditional bread, outside her home, after she had finished her work in the lagoon.

The valorisation of the gastronomic tradition, as well as fishing traditions and the Tunisian community’s traditional lifestyle (but more generally all the Mediterranean coastal communities), are at the center of rediscovery, protection and enhancement implemented by the NEMO Program.

The project objectives are the promoting of development and the improvement of income and living conditions of the coastal communities that are beneficiaries of the intervention.
