MARE outpost dedicated an afternoon to biodiversity protection. The activities were organized by Masseria Nonno Tore, the Natural History Museum of Salento (Naturalia Museum of Calimera), in collaboration with Rangers d’Italia Puglia, the Coast Guard and the Port Museum of Tricase.

The children and their parents visited the structure and took part in organized workshops, to raise awareness of biodiversity and his protection.

At the end of the day, four Caretta Caretta sea turtles and two kestrels were released in nature, after being treated at Calimera Animal Hospital.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
