Fishermen representatives met local authorities

Albanian fishermen, are mobilized for the protection of sea and marine resources, aware that their survival is closely linked to tourism and sea.
The fishermen’ representatives of Himara and Vlora met the director of ADV Vlora (Directorate of Agriculture) to request an intervention by the authorities for a series of problems related to illegal fishing, that emerged during the summer.
The fishermen have requested, through their delegate, the verification of fishing licenses, more controls against non-professional fishermen and a careful control of the equipment used in the surrounding areas of Himara.
The fishermen also called for the resolution of a series of bureaucratic problems that occurred during the summer with the Fisheries Inspectorate and the Himara border office.
