Blue Hope in Tricase

On 13 and 14 September 2018, the “Blue Hope Technical Cooperation Program (TCP)” of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, was held in Tricase, at the MARE Outpost, in collaboration with CIHEAM Bari.

The seminar aims to share the assessment of the fisheries and aquaculture value chains in Algeria, Turkey and Tunisia and to prepare a future action plan based on the NEMO methodology, for implementing the Blue Hope initiative in the Mediterranean countries.

In addition, the Ciheam – Bari, together with the United Nations Organization for Agriculture and Food (FAO) for the Mediterranean Ministry of Agriculture (Tunisia), Mediterranean Fisheries Institute (Turkey), CNRS (Lebanon), University of Salento, University of Bologna and CNR (Italy) aim to plan a high-level training program on “Sustainable development of coastal communities” with the aim of supporting the adoption of the Blue Growth approach by Mediterranean and non Mediterranean countries.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
