WEBINAR | Online seminar about sardine fishing

On the digital port WEBPORT, on Wednesday 25 October 2017, the online meeting on sardine fishing and its supply chain, from fishing to distribution, took place.

The theme was dealt with by the fishermen of Himara together with their colleagues from Egypt, Italy, Morocco and Tunisia and highlighted differences and similarities between the various communities concerning the techniques used for fishing, the demand for sardines on the markets of each community.

The transformation of sardine and other blue fish species has been much debated and of great importance, a sector that is becoming increasingly important for the economy of some of the communities present.
