Urban Requalification Project of Himara Region

In Himara Municipality, Albanian government started to implement an urban requalification project which will transform Himara city center and the surrounding areas.

The main goal of the project is to support tourism infrastructure and to increase local economies, optimizing the access to the main attractions of Himara and surrounding areas. This investment will finalize the ongoing project of Himara Promenade, the one that connects the city center with surrounding villages.

This investment aims to increase tourism in Himara region. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Culture started to implement a project of restoration of old buildings in Vuno village, as they are part of Albanian culture heritage.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
