Morocco protects marine resources

“The new fisheries protocol with the European Union (EU) will preserve Morocco’s fishery resources,” said Claudia Wiedey, Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation in Rabat.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Habib El Malki, she underlined that the process of renewal of the Agricultural Agreement and of the Fisheries Protocol is under way, reviewing the progress of negotiations to confirm this agreement.

For his part, El Malki praised the excellent relations between the two parties concerned, within the framework of the advanced status enjoyed by Morocco.

Both sides gave particular importance to the need to create a new vision of future relations between Morocco and EU, to open new horizons in terms of strategic partnership.

This meeting focused on relations between Morocco and EU, in particular the current negotiations for the renewal of the agricultural agreement and the fisheries protocol.
