Festival of sea in Safi (Morocco)

The first edition of the festival of the Sea, was launched in the city of Safi (Morocco) in the presence of an official delegation presided by the Governor of the Province of Safi and the Mayor of the city of Lorient (France) as guest of honor of festival.

The event aims to raise awareness of the tangible and intangible heritage of the maritime sector and to enhance the seafood products of the city through the organization of several thematic conferences, a permanent exhibition, marked by the participation of 120 exhibitors from the sectors related to the sea, artistic events, in addition to the parade of fishermen.

In the Port of Safi, the organization of Festival brought together over 2,000 people to taste sardine-based dishes, with a record amount of 2 tons of sardines used.
