Against fires and drownings in the sea

From 7th to 10th on May 2018, there was in Algiers the week of information and awareness-raising against risks, related to forest fires and drowning in sea. The event was attended by the Directorate of Fisheries and Fishery Resources together with the National Institute for Fisheries and Aquaculture.

The event is organized by the Directorate for Civil Protection near the start of the summer season, to raise awareness of the risk of fires that have destroyed many hectares of forest with serious damage to biodiversity and to prevent drownings at sea.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
