Port services for Tripoli fishermen

Near the fishing port, there are two buildings where auctions for the sale of fish take place. Here all the fish from the port of Tripoli and the nearby ports converges.

There are about 10 fish markets in the city where both local and imported fish are sold. Three of these outlets are also equipped to cook fish directly for their customers. The difference in terms of price and quantity between the imported fish product and the local one creates considerable discomfort to the fishermen. In the port, there are 4 points of sale for fishing equipment.

The repair and maintenance of fishing nets is carried out in the port by people specialized in this activity.
