Women, in Siwa oasis, working to spread their heritage

The craft industry unit at the Siwa Oasis is one of the development landmarks in the oasis. A group of women are working in the unit to produce all craft industries such as textiles, sliver crafts and table spotlights made of salt.

This unit was founded in 2006 and has 11woman. The head of this unit confirms that the handicraft products are presented extensively in Egypt governorates, and the demand is increasing in Cairo and Alexandria. The artisanal products of Siwa hare very popular among tourists in all European countries. They are also exhibited at the Canadian University of Cairo.
