A training week in Italy

From 21 to 27 October 2018, the training course for ship owners, fishermen and officials of the General Directorate for Fisheries of Algiers took place in Tricase, at the MARE Outpost, peripheral headquarters of CIHEAM Bari.

Diversification of activities, transformation of fish products, food security and cold chain, development strategies, regulations and closed seasons were some of the activities covered by the training, through classroom sessions and visits many local companies.

The training course is one of the activities included in the NEMO program that aims to promote the sustainable development of Mediterranean coastal communities.

NEMO is funded by the General Directorate for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and is activated by Ciheam Bari.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
