Mediterranean Tourism Fair Tirana 2018

The second edition of the Mediterranean Tourism Fair was held on 6 and 7 April 2018 at Expocity Albania, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment and the National Tourism Agency. The event welcomed visitors from various countries, tourism companies and many tour operators.

MTF Tirana 2018 aims to promote tourism, to strengthen cooperation between tourism operators in the region and the rest of the world by providing them with the opportunity to meet colleagues, buyers and suppliers through exhibitions, forums and B2B meetings.

During the meeting, ample space was dedicated to the promotion of natural parks as a tourist destination, underlining the importance of natural and cultural wealth, without which the tourism sector itself would not be sustainable.

The municipalities of Valona and Himara were represented by the departments of tourism and the environment, as well as by tour operators. Participation in the tourism fair was also an opportunity to insist on the issue of fair and responsible development with the direct involvement of rural communities.
