Fishing ports in Albania

The Albanian Ministry of Agriculture issued a Minister Decision to start an inventory of fishery ports overall Albania.
Regarding the South part of Albania, there are 3 official dedicated fishery ports (Vlora Triport , Himara Port and Saranda Port).

The decision of the Ministry of Agriculture, which has the priority to help the little artisanal fishery, is focused on a clear definition of existing official fishery ports and the registration of other potential ports to be assigned to this sector.

This action will regulate the sector and help legal fishermen to develop their business. After the inventory and approval of the final report, the Ministry will begin a dialogue with the interested stakeholders to discuss the establishment of organizations, in different areas, for a better management of the fishing industry.
