The blue season of Tunisia

It begins mid-June and continues until mid-October each year, the “Blue Season” initiative, in Tunisia, which brings together under one label, all the events organized during the summer, which highlight and enhance the great maritime potential of Tunisia.

“The Blue season” born in Tunisia on the initiative of civil society and shared and supported by enthusiasts and a series of partners on both sides of the Mediterranean, also enjoys the support of public authorities, numerous diplomatic missions and the media.

The initiative aims to raise awareness on the importance of maritime heritage and the possible development of the blue economy in Tunisia, drawing attention to the vulnerability of the coast and the sea, to propose a new image, during the tourist season, to those who visit Tunisia, sensitizing tourists on the respect of the ecosystem and encouraging stakeholders and operators, locally and internationally, to work together to build an authentic conscience of citizens.
