Microcredit for the implementation of projects in the fishing sector

The access to microcredit, for the financial support of small investment projects in the fishing sector, is part of the activities forecasted by the NEMO project, wich is financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by CIHEAM Bari, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, water resources and fisheries in Tunisia. Over 130 projects are under evaluation and approval.

30% of the allocated funding will be used to support the growth of female entrepreneurship in the field of weaving nets and in other activities related to fishing.

The role of women enhancement in rural development and food security activities in the Mediterranean basin area is the goal of the GE.MAI.SA 2 project, also supported by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the CIHEAM Bari. This project is implemented in synergy and in continuity with the NEMO Program.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
