WEBINAR | Online seminar about Blue Crab in the Mediterranean

The blue crab (Callinectes sapidus), its distribution in Mediterranean waters, the impact of its presence on indigenous species and the prospects and future possibilities in the fishery, were the themes faced by the fishermen of Algiers, Tricase (Italy) , Zarzis (Tunisia), Marsa Matrouh (Egypt), Nador (Morocco) and Himara (Albania) during the online meeting held on Wednesday 27 September 2017.

The event was an opportunity to take stock of the situation regarding the presence of this species in each community and exchange experiences and advice on how to deal with this invasion and turn it into an opportunity for income integration.

Webinars are part of Webport activities, devised by the NEMO program.
