A SEA OF DIALOGUES | The round table “Future perspectives of the Mediterranean Action Plan for the development of coastal communities”

The round table “Future perspectives of the Mediterranean Action Plan for the development of coastal communities” was held in “Principi Gallone” Palace in Tricase, on the second working day of “A SEA OF DIALOGUE” international event. This was an initiative of the NEMO cooperation Program, supported by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by CIHEAM Bari.

Under the guidance of CIHEAM Bari, representatives of different agencies (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Ministry of Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies, National Research Council, FAO Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Union for the Mediterranean, CPMR – Conference of peripheral maritime regions, UNICEF Italy, CIHEAM Puglia Region, University of Salento and ministerial delegates from Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia) have talked about building synergies, elaborating a coherent strategy of development of the Mediterranean coastal areas, safeguarding the marine environment in the Mediterranean region, focusing on malnutrition, emigration and environmental heritage issues.
