NEMO WEBINAR | Good hygiene practices in the fishing processes
The usual appointment on WEBPORT’s virtual docks was about the theme “GOOD HYGIENE PRACTICES IN THE FISHING PROCESSES”.
The technical seminar was again conducted by Dr. Tony Forte (expert in food safety), given the great interest aroused, during the last Webinar of February 2018, by the fishing communities of Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia.
During the Webinar, good hygiene practices were analyzed in the process of processing the catch, especially from home processing to that in craft workshops, all aimed at greater safety of the final consumer.
Webinars are part of the NEMO Program activities, supported by the Italian Development Cooperation Agency and implemented by Ciheam – Bari, to support the development of Mediterranean coastal communities.
