Enhance the quality of the preserved fish product
The MARE Outpost, in the Port Museum of Tricase, hosted, from 25th February to 3rd March 2018, the training course “Preparation of preserved fish products”, for representatives of three women’s groups of Jdaria, Ajim and El Grine , in the Governorate of Médenine, in Tunisia.
The topics covered by the training course were processing, pasteurization and HACCP standards in order to improve knowledge and quality in the transformation processes of the fish product.
The training course was organized as part of the partnership between CIHEAM Bari and the FAO – Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
To support this partnership, the NEMO Project, activated by CIHEAM Bari and supported by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GEMAISA project, also of CIHEAM Bari, intervened with the objective of promoting the development of coastal communities and strengthening the role of women in the local economy.
