Gargob the new International Port of Matrouh
As part of the “West of Egypt” national development project launched by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation in Egypt, the General Governor of Matrouh, Alaa Abu Zeid, announced the construction of a new commercial port on an area in Gargoub, El-Negila, 75 km west of Marsa Matrouh.
The investment plan also includes the construction of a series of infrastructures and services with the aim of making Western Egypt a global economic and tourist paradise.
The governor has declared that the construction of the commercial port will constitute the premises for a great growth of the region, thanks to the proximity of European ports that will favor the reception of foreign tourists from all over the world.
