The season of fishing for swordfish

The swordfish fishing season has given a new vitality to the port of Tanger. The fishermen, despite the reduction in the quantities caught are happy for the start of the season.

Most of the swordfish caught in Tanger is destined for export to European markets, also considering the low local consumption of this species.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
