The week of the Marchica Lagoon

Within the integrated management of the Mediterranean coastal of Morocco, an important action was carried out, from 3 to 6 April 2018, in the lagoon of Marchica (Nador). This action concerned the installation of 50 artificial reefs in the lagoon with the main objective of contributing to the ecological restoration of the area.

The event saw a series of activities carried out between national and regional actors for the management of the lagoon. Numerous workshops have underlined the structuring of a coastal observatory, the management of natural sites that welcome the public, the monitoring of artificial barriers and biohuts, etc.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
