“Oasi blu” an opportunity for development and protection of the coastal territory

On Saturday, January 20, the meeting entitled “OASI BLU, an opportunity for development and protection of the coastal territory” was held at the Sea Outpost. The meeting, supported by Dr. Massimo Zuccaro, of CIHEAM Bari was an opportunity to present a model of development of the coastal territory able to reconcile the social and economic needs of the communities that live there, with those of the environment and protection of marine and coastal ecosystems.

OASI BLU is the territorial cooperation program between Italy, Albania and Montenegro, financed by the European Union which provides for the creation of a marine protected area between the Italian coast and the cross-border coast of Albania and Montenegro in a process of biodiversity protection for the common growth of communities and responsible and sustainable tourism.
