The NEMO project in support of fishermen and farmers

Another objective in support of farmers and fishermen was realized in Matrouh, as part of the NEMO program, activated by CIHEAM Bari and supported by the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The project has, in fact, provided a truck to support the Matrouh Association for Desert Agricultural Development – MADAD, the association established thanks to the NEMO project. The truck, a Chevrolet NPR 7000, will allow the agricultural producers of Matrouh, belonging to the Association, an easier move of their products, from the production sites to the sales centers.

The NEMO project also purchased furniture for the offices of the MADAD Association and  Matrouh Fishermen’s Cooperative.
