Egypt for women
A series of training programs for women from the Bedouin communities of Western Egypt was launched in Matrouh, to allow women’s skills to be increased in certain economic sectors and to encourage the increase of the national income of Bedouin communities.
The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Desert Research Center and the party “The Future of the Country” aims at rehabilitating the role of women through their involvement and integration into productive economic projects.
As part of this initiative, a training seminar, attended by over 50 participants, explicitly focused on mushroom cultivation with the illustration of varieties, cultivation techniques and nutritional values.
The other planned activities concern the training in the use of sewing machines, in the weaving of wool, in the processing and cultivation of olives and figs.
