Albania, fishing facilities out of the sea

The aquaculture facilities in the southern part of Albania have seen considerable development over the years between 1990 and 2018.

Numerous entrepreneurs from the Municipality of Himara, based on their first experience in various countries of the world, have created small, medium and large centers for the breeding of numerous fish species. Many of these plants are located in areas distant from marine and river environments, allowing to expand the economic results of activities related to the sea in other areas.

These activities have a highly controlled approach in terms of growth, exploitation and market share.
