100 villages in Albania

As part of the Integrated Rural Development Program, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Albania, will support the agricultural economy of 100 villages over the next four years. Most of the villages admitted to the program are known and appreciated as important tourist destinations.

The development program aims at coordinating the development interventions in the rural areas of the 100 villages through an integrated and coordinated planning of public investments, donors and private investments.

The interventions aim to promote economic development through the diversification of economic activities, the improvement of tourism potential in rural areas, the improvement of commercial services. The program also aims at enhancing the social and human capital of the areas involved, promoting the creation of rural networks and local action groups in rural areas, training for young people and women and supporting cultural heritage through the promotion of traditions.
