Webinar | The “future” talks on Webport

Wednesday, February 20, 2012, on the virtual platforms of WEBPORT, there were not only the fishermen.

On the docks of the digital port there were children and teenagers coming from the schools of Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia.

It was exciting to listen to future generations of the Mediterranean to talk together and recognize and discover part of one big community, the “Mediterranean community”.

“The Mediterranean is our home and together we have to take care of it” said one of the boys present at the meeting.

WEBPORT is the digital Mediterranean port created by Ciheam – Bari as part of the NEMO program, funded by the Italian Development Cooperation Agency and the General Directorate for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

WEBPORT connects the coastal communities of the Mediterranean for the sustainable development of the territories, through the exchange of experiences and knowledge and the creation of bridges of dialogue and friendship.

WEBPORT is the digital port of the Mediterranean. It is designed and edited by CIHEAM Bari. It started in 2014 with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Development.

The pages of Albania and Montenegro were created and implemented as part of the CO.CO.TOUR project funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro program.
