MARE Outpost, peripheral headquarters of CIHEAM Bari, in the Port Museum of Tricase, hosted on Monday, June 3, 2019, the meeting between stakeholders and local actors to share the development objectives and priorities identified, in the coastal area of Tricase, with specific reference to the marine environment.
The meeting, organized by Cooperative Research Institute – ICR, included the presentation of the marine area in front of the coast of Tricase, a brief description of the concept of Natural Capital associated with the main macro-ecosystems and a guided discussion and detailed analysis of the perceived value of the area and the macro-ecosystems identified. The suggestions emerging from the discussion will be useful to define a possible management of the marine environment and its resources.
The meeting is part of the activities of the BLUE LAND project, funded by Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro, which aims to define a model for participatory co-management of marine and coastal areas.
BLUE LAND is jointly implemented by CIHEAM Bari, the National Agency for Protected Areas – Napa (Albania), INCA Albania, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Montenegro, the University of Montenegro – Institute of Marine Biology, the Cooperative Research Institute – ICR, in partnership with AICS Tirana and Puglia Region, Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environmental.
